After weeks of speculation the club have now confirmed the signing of left back, Danny Andrew from Grimsby Town.

Danny has signed a two-year contract with the club, which will see him play at the Keepmoat at least until the summer of 2019.

Following the release of Aaron Taylor-Sinclair and transfer listing of Cedric Evina, a versatile left back was top of the shopping list for Darren Ferguson this summer.

Previously, Danny Andrew has worked for a while under Rovers boss, Darren Ferguson after Ferguson promoted him from Peterborough’s youth team in 2008 to go on to make just two appearences during his tenure leaving Peterborough in the same year as Ferguson in 2010.

Danny Andrews joins Niall Mason as Doncaster Rovers second transfer of the summer, and it’s expected that Ben Whiteman will join on loan from Sheffield United soon as well as signing of premier league striker on loan soon.
