As Doncaster Rovers begin to battle relegation, and the loan window edges closer and closer to shutting. Ferguson makes last minuet purchase in pursuit of keeping the league one status, along with a hint of possibly two more in comings before the window closes.

Gary McSheffrey joins on loan from Scunthorpe United on loan until the end of the season. The experienced left winger joins a very disturbed Doncaster Rovers, at the moment, due to the fact that they’re currently fighting to stay in league one after talks of achieving a play off spot, slowly disappeared after Christmas.

McSheffrey could just provide what we need at the moment, because he provides that experience in midfield, along with Coppinger, who returned last week against Peterborough. McSheffrey could get his debut this Friday with a pivotal match against fellow relegation favorites, Colchester United.

Also, just before Peterborough match on Saturday Ferguson confirmed the signing of another experienced midfielder, who has played under Ferguson before, Tommy Rowe, on loan from Wolves, again until the end of the season. I am more than happy with these two signings, and Rowe seems to play for the badge from what I saw from the 45 minuets he played at the weekend, because he was straight into tackles, and really put a lot of effort.

Finally, at a press conference today  Ferguson hinted that there could be two, not just one, two signings before Friday and/or before the emergency loan window closes. A major rumor right now is that Norwich City goalkeeper, Remi Matthews is on the verge of signing, after Stuckmanns’ pour performance on Saturday it is really understandable as to why a goalkeeper may be coming in. Matthew seems like he’d be a good fit, one down side though is that he has only made 2 football league appearances.

These loan signings will also come, due to the fact that Conor Grant and Lynden Gooch returned to their respective clubs last Friday, due to injury.
